Dynamic Highly Successful Engineering Consultant firm with strong North American and International presence and excellent positioning seeks a General Manager to Lead their Canadian operations. This position will be located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In this role the success candidate will run the Canadian portion of the engineering consultant business, performing technical tasks, helping to grow the business, managing staff and more with the support and guidance of the directors.

The Role:

  • Consulting Civil / Mining / Environmental Engineer tasks
  • Lead the Canadian business unit
  • Develop new business
  • Meet with existing and future clients
  • Perform engineering technical tasks
  • Write proposals, evaluations, etc..
  • Manage and mentor staff

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in Consultant Civil / Mining / Environmental Engineering
  • Knowledge of the North American market
  • Experience in heap leach pad tailings disposal system design and mine waste management a big plus
  • Experience in water resources a plus
  • Experience in proposal writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communications skills
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in management & mentorship for the higher levels
  • Great attitude
  • Self-starter
  • Desire to be a leader & a key player
  • BS or higher in mining engineering or closely related field (i.e.: civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, etc…)
  • Valid Passport or ability to obtain immediately
  • Valid driver license in Canada or ability to obtain immediately
  • right to work in Canada
